Job Description

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Salary: Not a constraint for the right candidate!

Experience: 6-8 years.

Hybrid: 2 days Work from Home 3 days Work from Office

Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Test Analyst / QA Engineer to join our team within the Banking domain. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in test preparation, test execution, defect management, and test reporting within Agile environments.

This role requires close collaboration with business analysts, developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery. The candidate should possess strong analytical skills, a quality-driven mindset, and an affinity for test automation and continuous improvement practices.

Experience in Banking or Financial Services environments is mandatory.

Roles & Responsibilities

Test Planning & Preparation

•Analyse business and functional requirements to define comprehensive test strategies and test scenarios.
•Prepare detailed test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data for functional and non-functional testing activities.
•Ensure test coverage aligns with business requirements, system integrations, and regulatory expectations.

Test Execution & Defect Management

•Execute manual and automated test cases across multiple applications and environments.
•Identify, log, track, and validate defects using defect management tools.
•Perform: Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support
•Validate fixes and perform re-testing to ensure quality standards are met.

Reporting & Documentation

•Prepare and maintain test execution reports, defect reports, and quality metrics.
•Communicate testing progress, risks, issues, and quality status to stakeholders and project teams.
•Ensure all testing activities and documentation are maintained according to organizational standards.

Agile & Team Collaboration

•Work closely within Agile/Scrum teams and actively participate in: Sprint planning, Daily stand-ups, Backlog refinement, Sprint reviews, Retrospectives
•Collaborate effectively with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other QA team members.
•Support continuous improvement initiatives within testing and delivery processes.

Test Automation

•Demonstrate affinity and willingness to work with test automation frameworks and tools.
•Support automation initiatives to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
•Collaborate with automation engineers to identify automation opportunities.

Qualification & Experience

•A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.

Must-Have Skills

•Experience with: Test preparation, Test execution, Test reporting
•Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect management processes.
•Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
•Strong collaboration and communication skills within multidisciplinary teams.
•Affinity toward test automation and quality engineering practices.
•Minimum 3 years of experience in the Banking or Financial Services domain.
•Testing Knowledge: Strong understanding of Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, UAT support
•Ability to design effective test scenarios and test cases from business requirements.
•Certifications - TMAP and/or ISTQB certification is an added advantage.
•5+ years of work experience with Test Automation
•6+ years of work experience with System Testing
•6+ years of work experience with Functional Testing
