Job Description

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

We are seeking an Analytics Platform Engineer to manage and support enterprise reporting platforms, including SAP BusinessObjects and Tableau. You will enable scalable, secure, and high-performing reporting solutions across the bank, ensuring reliable delivery of regulatory reports, executive dashboards, and business analytics.

This role combines platform engineering expertise with reporting tool proficiency, ensuring high availability, performance, and governance of mission-critical enterprise reporting systems.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Platform Engineering & Administration

Administer and support SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) and Tableau Server/Online platforms
Manage platform configuration, upgrades, patching, and capacity planning
Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of reporting infrastructure

Performance Optimization

Monitor and optimize report performance, query execution, and platform utilization
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across reports, universes, and dashboards
Implement best practices for report design, caching, and data extraction

Security & Governance

Implement and manage user access controls, roles, and security models across platforms
Ensure compliance with data governance, audit, and regulatory requirements
Support data access controls and reporting standards aligned with enterprise policies

Platform Operations & Support

Provide L3/L4 production support for reporting platforms and resolve incidents
Troubleshoot issues related to report failures, data inconsistencies, and platform outages
Maintain SLAs and ensure platform stability and uptime

Collaboration & Enablement

Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to enable efficient report development and deployment
Support developers and analysts with best practices, onboarding, and troubleshooting
Contribute to platform documentation, standards, and automation initiatives

Modernization & Automation

Develop automation scripts for platform monitoring, deployments, and maintenance
Support migration and modernization initiatives (e.g., BOBJ to Tableau, cloud-based reporting)
Integrate reporting platforms with enterprise data platforms and CI/CD pipelines

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field
4–7 years of experience in reporting platform engineering or BI platform administration
Strong hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) platform administration
Strong hands-on experience with Tableau Server/Online administration
Demonstrated expertise in report performance tuning and query optimization
Strong SQL skills and understanding of data warehousing concepts
Experience managing user security, access controls, and governance in BI tools
Proficiency with Linux/Windows server environments
Experience working in production support and incident management environments

Nice to have:

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and Tableau Cloud
Automation scripting experience (Python, Shell scripting, or PowerShell)
Knowledge of data pipelines and ETL tools
Experience in banking or financial services reporting (regulatory, risk, finance)
Exposure to CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
