Data We Collect

GetThisJob does not store your resume or job description text by default. Anonymous analyses are ephemeral and discarded after your session. When you sign in, your analyses are saved to your account so you can track your applications over time. Uploaded resume files are stored only when you explicitly save them to your file library for reuse.

How Your Data Is Used

Your input is used solely to generate AI-powered results — ATS score, resume bullets, cover letter, skills gap analysis, interview questions, LinkedIn profile suggestions, and PDF documents. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising or AI model training.

Account & Authentication

You can sign in with a passwordless magic link sent to your email (via Resend), or with Google (One Tap / Continue with Google). When you use Google sign-in, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google — no password is stored. Your account stores your analyses, application pipeline status, saved resume files, credit balance, and profile information (display name, photo).

Payments & Credits

Credit purchases are processed by Stripe. GetThisJob does not store your card details — all payment information is handled directly by Stripe and subject to their privacy policy. We store your credit balance and a record of transactions (purchase amount, date, reference) to maintain your account ledger.

AI Providers

Your resume and job description text is sent to a third-party AI provider to generate results. Depending on the model you select, this may be OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or xAI. Each provider processes your input under their own data and privacy policies. We do not send personally identifiable information beyond the text you provide in the form.

PDF Generation

When you generate a resume or cover letter PDF, your document content is processed server-side to produce the file. PDFs are generated on demand and are not stored permanently on our servers.

Cookies & Local Storage

Your browser's localStorage is used to persist your job description and resume text between sessions so you don't have to re-enter them. An authentication cookie is set when you sign in. With your consent, analytics cookies are set by Google Analytics to help us understand how the product is used — your resume or job description text is never included in analytics data.

Data Deletion

You can delete all your saved job search data from the Dashboard at any time. This removes your analyses, pipeline status, and saved files from our servers. To close your account entirely, contact us via LinkedIn.
