Job Description

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Director of Finance for a well-established real estate development organization.

The organization operates across integrated business units with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.

This is a senior leadership role for an experienced finance professional with a background in real estate and/or construction. The ideal candidate is hands-on and thrives in a dynamic environment.

Role Overview

The Director of Finance provides financial leadership across a multi-entity organization, overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, and strategic financial management. The role carries broad responsibility for financial performance, compliance, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

Lead accounting and financial reporting across the organization
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Manage cash flow and project-level financial performance
Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and financing obligations
Support capital management and treasury operations
Maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures
Manage lender and financing relationships
Oversee financial systems and reporting infrastructure
Lead, develop, and mentor the finance team
Support audit, regulatory, and corporate compliance activities
Drive financial analysis and special projects as required

What We're Looking For

Senior finance experience in real estate, construction, or a related industry
CPA designation strongly preferred
Experience in multi-entity or complex organizational environments
Strong grasp of project accounting and cash flow management
Proven leadership and team development capability
Hands-on, detail-oriented, and collaborative
Comfortable in a fast-paced, in-office environment
