Job Description

Our team is growing! Four Directions of Conservation Consulting Services Inc. (4 Directions) is looking for an Administrative Assistant on a permanent, part-time basis with the potential to become full-time. Although this role will be based out of our new office in Chippewas of Rama First Nation, Ontario, there is the opportunity to work remotely as required.

4 Directions is 100% Indigenous-owned and certified through the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB). We are a team of professional environmental consultants specialized in archaeological assessments, Indigenous engagement and consultation, conservation ecology, impact assessments, and Indigenous knowledge studies. About the Role

The Administrative Assistant will be required to perform various administrative duties including, but not limited to, the following:

Provide administrative support to all members of the 4 Directions team
Assist with report and presentation preparation
Research and assist with procurement and Request for Proposals (RFPs)
Prepare travel arrangements, as needed
Assist in the development and implementation of policies and programs that support the team (e.g., health and safety, human resources, and file management)
Develop employee programs, such as training and educational opportunities
Assure compliance with all applicable federal and provincial regulations and company policies
Provide support for the Human Resource and the Accounting Departments
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management, and executive members

Requirements

Secondary School Diploma
Business Administration degree/diploma or equivalent
5+ years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or equivalent
Proficient use of office-based software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Compensation: $25/hour - $27/hour
