The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a manufacturing electrical engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

Leading the maintenance team and contractors on execution of capital projects.
Implement EHS, Renewal and operational improvement projects.
Determine poorly performing equipment and optimize output.
Support production through attaining high runtime and quality
Maintain and troubleshoot automated equipment (PLC, Controls, VFD)
Support equipment maintenance and other engineering teams

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in electrical, electronics or mechatronics engineering.
Three (3) years of reliability and/or design engineering in a private, public, government or military environment.
Current, valid Driver's License.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

PLC programming, motors and/or VFD drive experience
Mechanical or process engineering experience would help the successful candidate excel. Business experience or additional.
Rockwell and Allen-Bradley branded hardware experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing needs
CAD knowledge.
Analytical and able to troubleshoot a line down system failure.
Interpersonal skills are necessary to interact and excel with various stakeholders.
Work alone or in teams. Six sigma training is an asset.
